Science fiction and fantasy author, U.S. Navy veteran, IT professional, husband, and father—writing stories built around curiosity, possibility, resilience, and the idea that growing older should never mean losing the ability to believe in the unbelievable.

My Story
How the Journey Began
A lifelong love of impossible worlds eventually became a decision to build some of my own.
I have always had a passion for science fiction and fantasy. The fantastical filled me with awe long before I ever thought of myself as an author. Series such as Eureka and the Stargate franchise became favorites I returned to again and again, sometimes playing late into the night.
During one of those late-night viewings of Eureka, I fell asleep and had a vivid dream. That dream stayed with me, grew, changed, and eventually became the foundation for my first novel, Shadow of Ashes. I had no formal background in writing novels. What I had was an idea I could not ignore and a willingness to learn by doing.
That first step grew into more stories, more worlds, and eventually multiple series. I began with science fiction and fantasy because those genres shaped my imagination from a young age, but I do not want to be limited by genre. I have also written a children's book, Come ABC with Me, inspired by my youngest children, and I plan to explore other kinds of stories whenever the idea feels meaningful enough to deserve being written.
Experience
What Shaped the Writing
01
The Navy
Serving in the U.S. Navy gave me the opportunity to travel and encounter cultures and perspectives that books and television alone could never fully provide. Those experiences broadened the way I think about people, places, and the worlds I create.
02
Information Technology
Working in IT reinforced the importance of logic, systems, problem-solving, and adaptability. Technology changes constantly, and that balance between structure and flexibility naturally finds its way into the speculative worlds I write.
03
Family & Life
Outside of writing, I am a husband and father of five. I enjoy grilling, cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, lifting weights, hands-on projects, and finding peace in the ordinary moments that make life worth protecting.
“I hope someone sees my name and says, ‘That’s the guy who decided to try something he had zero experience doing. If he can do it, why can’t I?’”
What I hope readers remember
Why I Write
Curiosity. Possibility. Purpose.
Curiosity
I want readers to think about what the past has given us, how it shapes the present, and what the future may still hold.
Belief
Growing older should not require giving up wonder. I want my stories to keep that door open—to make the unbelievable feel worth considering again.
Legacy
Success is not only sales or recognition. One of my deepest measures of success is imagining my youngest children someday pulling one of my books from their school library and proudly saying, “This is my dad.”
